The Loyal Edmonton Regiment Museum

A New Look

The Loyal Edmonton Regiment Military Museum web site has changed. Thanks to the efforts of Chinook Multimedia, we have a new look, new segments, updated information, and updated features that will make using our site easier and more informative for visitors.

The home page now includes a slide show, news and feature items, and expanded contact and information links. Two new headings have been added to our menu bar – Collections and About. The Collections segment describes the elements that make up our collection and how parts of the collection are exhibited. It also details the other services we offer including public programs and research assistance. The About segment includes more information about the museum and also includes details about, and links to, the Loyal Edmonton Regiment itself.

Everything that was on our old site has been included in the new site and is being brought up to date. In the Regimental History segment, we are adding information about the activities of the regiment since the turn of the century, including the regiment’s new home at Jefferson Armoury, and the regiment’s continued participation in United Nations and NATO missions around the world, including Afghanistan. In the Canadian Military History segment, have added to the Korean War pages and are bringing the 1945 to Present pages up to date. This will include new information on Canadian defence and foreign policy in the post-peacekeeping era and on Afghanistan. The Timeline, now called Chronology, segment is also being brought up to date.

We hope that our new look will provide both new and old visitors to our site with a better, more helpful experience.
