After four long years, Germany teetered on the edge of defeat by the spring 1918. The Allies mounted a massive final campaign, with the Canadian army fighting at Amiens, Arras, Canal du Nord, Cambrai, and Valenciennes. Germany surrendered on 11 November 1918.
