1915
Canadian soldiers were deployed to the Western Front in January 1915 and soon began to carve out a reputation as a fierce and innovative fighting force. In February they carried out the first raid of the war on enemy trenches. By September, all Canadian troops served under one command in the newly established Canadian Corps.
